Making time is key. Putting yourself first is something that women often ignore because we do so much for other people. To be the best versions of ourselves, we’ve got to feel healthy & happy. When your PMS is out of whack or your period is getting missed or sporadic due to stress - that’s your sign to take a breath and reflect how YOU are doing. Here are a few checklist items aura likes to use to check in on ourselves:
- Are you sleeping? No? Cut the TV right before bed. Studies show that TV stimulates your brain and can decrease your melatonin levels right before bedtime.
- Eating junk food to get through the day? Understandable, sometimes a quick bag of Doritos can power you through that last hour of work, but it also leaves you feeling not great and crashing 30 minutes later. Swap out for Almonds that have protein to keep you going and may even help with PMS.
